Traditional Dance Class

This course is designed to give students the opportunity to learn the beginning skills of dance while improving their techniques, poise, self-confidence and creative ability. Students will choreograph and dance in class presentations. Through their own dance compositions and expressions, students explore the creative process, translating ideas, thoughts, and feelings into original pieces of choreography. They also study dance forms from many cultures and time periods in cultural and historical context. The vocabulary of dance includes the basic elements of time, space, and force or energy. Students grow in understanding dance and its elements through direct experience.

Latonya runs her very own dance studio, Dance Jamaica Academy, while touring the globe as a dance instructor, teaching dance classes in Europe, Africa, Australia, Asia and South America. Can I take INQUIZ Labs courses from my country?

Yes! We have students from around the world successfully complete our classes. We design our timetables with the global time zone differences in mind. If a student happens to have missed the class sessions live, that student can catch up at a more convenient time by reviewing the class transcript, which contains a full record of everything in class. Students can also ask questions about the material at any time on the dedicated class message board.

Can I use INQUIZ as a full Middle (Prep) or High School curriculum?

Our courses curricula are designed specifically with learning outcomes in mind. Each offers a thorough explanation of a single subject area, teaching both the key facts as well as the more general problem-solving strategies needed for success in their current school and beyond.

Each course includes numerous practical exercises to enhance core skills and competencies and to assure student progress. Weekly homework and coursework serve a similar role. While some students use our materials as a supplement for more-advanced curricula, a student can use our courses as their entire curriculum.

How are the courses better than just reading through the textbooks or watching videos?

Our courses give students the opportunity to work directly with sophisticated instructors, and students can ask questions at any time. The courses also provide structure, and our subject courses give students experience with and feedback on their writing.

Do I have to be interested in a specific career path to take these classes?

Not at all! The strategies emphasized in all of our courses benefit students who are interested in transitioning into a meaningful and rewarding life.

Who are these courses for?

We've found that the students who have the most success with our program are motivated students, not necessarily just the students who are excellent at school already. Since our curriculum emphasizes problem solving, and covers a diverse range of course offerings, it is a good fit for students who have the motivation to get creative and tackle difficult problems with the various critical thinking methods they'll learn.

Can my student get help outside of class time?

Absolutely! Students may use the course message board to ask questions at any time about course material. Our instructors and assistants provide live support.

What happens outside of class time?

Outside of the live classes, students have weekly homework assignments that they can complete on their own time. In some courses, students have reading assignments to complete before the corresponding class session. If students have questions outside of class time, they can post their questions on the dedicated course message board.
